This webinar training will define what an arc flash is and discuss how to prevent it from occurring. It will offer participants an understanding of the regulatory requirements of the NFPA 70E standard and detail how it applies to your facility. Participants will also garner an understanding of the proper NFPA 70E training requirements and NFPA 70E PPE requirements.

Why should you attend?

Electrical workers face many hazards on the job and according to the most recent Bureau of Labor Statistics research, electric shocks causes only 20% of all injuries among electricians. The majority of injuries electricians face is due to external burns and other effects of electrical arc flash explosions.

The purpose of this course will be to educate workers about the hazards of arc flash and how to prevent them from occurring. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Arc Flash 70E Requirements will be discussed in detail including training requirements, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, arc flash signage, approach distance, etc. The webinar will also answer any site specific questions or concerns as it relates to the NFPA 70E standards.
