Over the years, I’ve worked with multiple leaders on employee engagement to help them break through the traditional approach of receiving their engagement results, sharing their results with their team in a group setting, and choosing one to two questions as a team to focus on over the coming months. This process, by the majority of these leader’s accounts, hasn’t worked well in progressing overall engagement for their teams. Why is this? We miss out on a large part of our team. There are 60% of our people who come to work, do a good job, and are swayed at times by the positives, and at other times by the negatives. These people, who I call “the tippers”, truly hold where the engagement of the organization goes. And guess what, leaders have been missing out on what these tippers have to say for years. This course will explore how to activate these individuals and provide a clear opportunity for them to step into engagement in the workplace.
A focus on employee engagement is a buzzword focus for some. However, it needs to be an active effort, focused on like any other metric in our workplace. The struggle though is it goes beyond a metric and many fail to capture this. This session will provide applicable pieces for leaders and coaches to walk away with and partner with their organizations and teams to make engagement an everyday process and focus in the workplace.
